Thanks Again, Lauri for featuring me on your blog!
Finished up my cookies for next week’s cookie exchange! It takes a while for me to get back in the baking groove, but next weekend when we get together to frost cookies, share stories and licks of frosting, it will all be worth it!! <3
Last weekend and into the early part of the week, it was in the 50’s! Coffee, a blanket and a small dog were the perfect way to start the morning on the screened porch (all cocooned in plastic wrap…like a solarium)…Wed…winter winds started whipping as the temps started dipping and the windchill yesterday and today…. 4 degrees! Gotta love Wisconsin…or move south!
Keep your soul filled with positivity and light, not to keep for yourself, but to share with someone who is lost in their own darkness. Never be too proud to receive a spark from others when you feel your own flame grow dim.
Bittersweet moments….the perfect fall morning on the screened porch in mid-November….with 2 of my sons and our collective dog family! <3 NOTHING is more important than the ones you love!…Nothing! AND when we realize our family is no different from every other family in every other culture…we would literally save the world…and ourselves in the process. <3 LOVE one another…with all your soul, with all your spirit and with all your might.
The two girls watch each other across the crowded train car with intense interest. One, holds tight to her little brother; and the other, clutches a mysterious basket. An unexpected secret will bind the two girls together, but dare they hope to find an adoptive family that will KEEP them together?
Join Libby & Josie as they journey on one of the infamous orphan trains in 1896 from New York City to the Midwest; looking for that forever family and the American dream.
also…a sneak peek at a work in progress…with who else? Lauren Rutledge!
Watch for more on this project as we go along!
